Real Stories. Real Change.

Manesha T (30 y/o)

“Smrithi gives great homework after every session which really helps you digest and apply what you've uncovered during your session. She's also a very good listener and very empathetic, which helped me open up to her within 1 session! I felt truly comfortable with her as my coach and trusted her advice. I became more confident in myself, learned how to set healthy boundaries, and love myself more and more each day. I would recommend her services to others!”

Swathi D (Parent to 14-year old)

“Smrithi took the time to truly understand what we were looking for not just for our teen daughter, but for our family as a whole. She came up with a thoughtful and effective plan that focused on helping our daughter grow while making sure we, as parents, were involved every step of the way. One of the things that stood out the most was how Smrithi kept us informed with regular updates and clearly explained the strategies she was using. She worked closely with both of us as parents, respecting our perspectives and helping us understand our daughter’s personality and needs, both in our presence and in one-on-one sessions with her. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, insight, and partnership. She is not just coaching our daughter, she is helping our whole family grow and move forward together.”

Why Me as Your Coach?

Growing up as the eldest daughter of Tamil immigrants, I quickly realized that culture can be both a source of strength and a source of pain. On one hand, it connects us to our history, our ancestors, and our traditions, giving us a unique identity, a sense of belonging, and deep roots. On the other hand, culture can place us in a box, impose expectations, and uphold systems that allow disconnection, poor mental health, and toxic patterns to go unchanged. Experiencing both sides of this coin shaped every part of my life, from my sense of identity and self-confidence to my mental health and decisions I made.

Over time, I began navigating these challenges with intention and courage. Beneath the layers of pain, disconnection, and deep hurt was a core self waiting to be uncovered and embraced. Along this path, I was fortunate to learn from spiritual teachers, radical thinkers, and healers who opened my eyes to the power of the mind. I understood the importance of establishing healthy routines and structure for stability. I discovered how vital it is to nurture personal relationships, set boundaries, and develop positive inner dialogue. I came to appreciate the balance between movement and stillness, the healing power of honoring my inner child, and the clarity that comes from defining my values as a compass for life. I learned to offer myself the kindness, attention, and care I had long been missing. Most importantly I learned that culture doesn’t have to be a box. When we intentionally keep the parts of culture that serve as protective factors and release the parts that uphold harmful systems, we create space to heal, live authentically, and have harmonious relationships.

Alongside this personal journey, I pursued a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding how trauma, disconnection from self, family, culture, and social conditioning shape who we are. Working in the anti-violence field taught me the profound importance of meeting people exactly where they are, moving at their own pace, and honoring their unique paths. I learned that effective support is never one-size-fits-all. It must be personalized and rooted in an awareness of each person’s environment, lived experiences, intersecting identities, and their individual coping strategies. This work reinforced my commitment to creating a coaching space that respects and uplifts every client’s story.

Today, I show up for my clients as the person I once needed. My coaching combines trauma-informed, culturally relevant guidance with strategic life design and cognitive reframing. I walk alongside my clients because I understand what it feels like to be unseen, pressured, and uncertain, and I also know the freedom, clarity, and joy that come from living authentically. My mission is to equip clients with the tools, guidance, and confidence to create lives filled with self-love, empowered relationships, and clarity for themselves and the generations they impact.

 FAQs

  • Therapy and life coaching serve different purposes, though they can complement each other beautifully.

Therapy is typically focused on the past. It helps you process trauma, navigate mental health challenges, and heal emotional wounds, and it’s done by licensed mental health professionals.

Life coaching, on the other hand, is about who you are now and who you’re becoming. It’s focused on building self-awareness, confidence, and direction. As a coach, I help you shift limiting beliefs, strengthen your mindset, and move toward the life you truly want.

Many of my clients are actively in therapy while working with me.

  • Each coaching session is a collaborative and focused space designed around what matters most to you in that moment. Throughout the session, I guide you with thoughtful questions, reflections, and practical strategies tailored to your unique journey. The process is interactive. You will have space to share openly, ask questions, and co-create actionable steps that feel achievable and meaningful for you.

You will always leave with something tangible to apply, whether that is a journal prompt, a new habit to implement, a guided meditation, or a mindset shift to practice. This homework is designed to reinforce the progress you are making and support sustainable growth between sessions.

If you're working on improving a specific relationship, you're welcome to invite a loved one to join a session as part of your growth process.
